Kiss my eyes xx And lay me to sleep -----------------------------------------
The waters were warm and the sun shimmered above in the sky, the ocean stretched for miles and miles as far as the eye could see. Of course it was under the water where one mermaid was exploring the clear aqua ocean near shore but far from it. Her long black raven hair flowed out behind her as she swam through the water. Her tail was orange with a tint of gold, her fin orange. Since she had been welcome into Aslan's country there had not been a day that went by where she did not try to search for her sister. Aslan had told her that she was here somewhere in this vast ocean all she needed to do was look. From her first day she had been looking and looking but to no avail. So Arwen decided to let her sister find her. As she swam along the ocean bottom looking to the smooth sand, she ran her hand across it as it stirred and rose up before settling once more. Over her shoulder she had a small bag and inside were many treasures she has found while exploring. Often from a shipwreck or just something that someone had dropped from a boat above the water. Often she would see the big narnia ships pass over above her, swimming up to the surface to wave at the sailors pass by. There were other creatures who lived in the ocean that she often swam by and encountered. The sea nymphs which are clear and made from the water, and the other mermaids which swam near Cair Paravel where the high kings and queens lived. Glancing behind her she thought she saw something swimming just a little further ahead of her. Tilting her head slightly she decided to investigate further swimming in that direction. But when she got to the exact area where she had seen the strange thing it was gone. Not worrying too much about it, Arwen started swimming up towards the surface of the water. The water always felt so nice against her skin and her tail, which is why she loved being in the water as much as possible. Breaking the top of the water her eyes glanced around the rather calm ocean, there didn't seem to be anyone nearby. And by that she meant ships or even sailors, there was the shore farther off but that was it. She knew she saw something but what it had been she didn't know, swimming to the left she began to head towards shore. Generally he found it very easy to do so, and had not felt nervous for years! Well, this was a different situation entirely, and he wasn't sure how to deal with it. He had traveled by horse to Cair Paravel...almost. He had rode within sight of the castle, then pulled off the road and made his way onto the beach to the calming sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Rilian just couldn't face the Kings and Queens of the Golden Age, yet. He felt so foolish, and even more like a boy than he looked.
He had paced a small amount of the shore after dismounting his horse and he began running a hand through his hair as he worked to draw up his courage. Kings--er, princes were not supposed to be cowards, and yet here he was acting like one just because he was intimidated. Rilian was just worried about what they would say to him or think about him. Would they even know him, or would he have to simply explain that he was Caspian the Tenths son in order for them to accept him?
Rilian's mind raced until he finally let out an irritated growl and tossed a rock out into the water. He then followed that by another rock and another rock while he was trying to throw each rock further than the first in order to relieve the tension in his body. Usually the sounds of the ocean calmed him immediately, but not today...

And at last I see the light x x And it's like the fog has lifted --------------------------------------------
Diving back under the water after trying to look around for the source of that shadow she saw, Arwen just shrugged it off and continued to look around for any treasures on the ocean floor. But her collection was getting heavy as is and she didn't want to weigh herself down anymore then she had to. She begun to wonder what her sister was doing right now. Somewhere out in the big ocean she was probably swimming around trying to find her, but the ocean was big and vast so it would take ages for her sister to even think of looking near here. As she swam closer into shore a sound caught her ears and caused her to look up towards the surface of the water. Then it stopped as she saw a rock dance under the water, landing on the sand not too far away from her. Was there someone up there tossing rocks across the ocean surface, swimming over she looked the rock over before feeling one roll off her shoulder. Soon the rocks fell further and further away from her. Tilting her head lightly she held one in her hand and swam towards the surface once more.
As she surfaced, her eyes fell upon a young man upon the shore. Arwen never really took in where she really was. As her eyes left the young man for a minute she glanced up to the sheer cliffs that seemed to reach up to the sky. Arwen then noticed the palace way up there and suddenly realized she was near Cair Paravel. The home of the high kings and queens who had been picked by Aslan to rule there, of course she was still getting used to these waters. Yes she knew this was Aslan's Country and things should feel the same as back in the old narnia, but for some reason it didn't. Could that also be the reason she could not find her sister either. Focusing her attention back to the young man she slowly made her way into shore, and as the water got more shallow her fin disappeared and turned into legs.
Standing now fully clothed, one of the lovely gifts Aslan bestowed upon her she walked out of the water wearing a flowing dress. Her feet stepped onto the wet sand and the rock still in her hand. She approached the young man before stopping mere inches from him, holding out her hand before opening it. "Was it you that threw this?" It had been such a long time since she last stepped onto the land, and yet it has been a long time since she last saw a human as well. Arwen hoped she didn't startle the young man when she came out of the water, since coming to the great Aslan's country the mermaid has been wanting to meet new faces. Of course back in the old narnia she had helped in many battles but her face was probably not well known, so no one would remember her.
