It was a beautiful, calm night, with a warm breeze making its way through the trees, causing them to shift and rustle. A bright moon gazed down onto the land as stars winked and shot through the sky, marking constellations. Birds of the night could be heard through the darkness, singing and rustling their wings, and as they continued with their nocturnal routine, a woman stared up at the black sky, watching the stars she once danced with.
Liliandil had awoken here, in the Dancing Lawn, and without being told she realized what this place was: Aslan's Country. She also knew that she wasn't alone in this world, for if she had arrived here, then so must've others. What she didn't know, however, was if her friends and family had made it here. Perhaps they hadn't, or perhaps they had. All that the star-incarnate knew about herself was that she had arrived late, and for good reason. She watched a few stray stars dance in the sky as her mind was filled with questions:
Is Caspian here? Or Rilian? Or even my dear friends, such as Erin? Should I tell them why I only now arrived?
She was not very accustomed to the feelings of guilt and sorrow, but before she had arrived, when she had spoken to the great Aslan, she had aquired the two quite fast. Sooner or later, she must tell them, even if it broke her heart to do so. She only hoped that they would find it in themselves to forgive her.

Caspian was returning to his home in Calormen after visiting the Pevensies at Cair Paravel. He had been traveling for a day or so, towards his castle and was now near the Dancing Lawn. Back in the old Narnia, this is where the Fawns would gather to dance and play their music. The trees would sway with them as well, and it seemed that the place was just as he remembered. He was getting tired, so he decided to get off his horse and rest awhile, maybe even make camp for the night. He still had a few days of riding ahead of him, and he didn't see a need to tire himself out before he was able to get home. He found a clearing and made a fire so that he would keep warm, and he of course was hoping it would scare anything away that may come looking for him. He hoped that didn't happen. It felt peaceful and quiet so he wasn't concerned in the slightest. Besides, since he had been in Narnia nothing bad had happened. It didn't mean that would be the case all the time, but he felt he was mostly safe laying here for the night and getting some much needed rest.
The young king laid on his back and stared up at the sky. Looking at the stars reminded him of his wife, Liliandil. She had died some time ago and he had hoped he would find her in Aslan's Country. Lucy had said that maybe in time he would. And wasn't it Aslan that always said things never happened the same way twice? Maybe he would find her soon, at least he hoped he would. It had been awhile since he had seen her, and he missed her. He felt her death was untimely. He would have lost both his son and wife had Eustace and Jill not managed to save Rilian from the witch's curse. Those days seemed so long ago now, and thinking about it made him feel older than he was. Aslan had restored him back to a young age, and for that he was thankful. It wasn't long before he drifted to sleep, thinking about the days of his past and his wife and son. The fire crackled in the center of the clearing, and his horse stood nearby grazing on the grass. He wasn't even aware that his wife was nearby as he fell into a deep sleep.

As time passed, Liliandil had taken to a slow, thoughtful walk, softly making her way through the grass as she continued to mull over the questions of her mind. Nothing, it seemed, had changed in this New Narnia, except that everything was clearer, more defined and rich. So why wasn't her mind just as clear? If she were to ever find peace, she must decide on if she was to tell her beloved friends and family the truth, however shameful it was. It was not their fault, no; it was hers, and the guilt plagued her. If only Liliandil had obeyed Aslan, if only she had resisted temptation when it was presented to her...
A light whinny broke her thoughts, and Liliandil realized that she had come across a camp, or at least, a very light camp. A tired horse stared at her as she examined the area, and she couldn't help but smile as she noticed a young man lying down in the grass. He must've been asleep, for he didn't react to her presence, and his breathing seemed deep and steady. She moved in closer to see if she knew him, and barely managed to stifle a gasp.
Caspian! Oh, her beloved Caspian! He was so young, younger than she ever remembered him; he was clean-shaven, and not as old as she had first seen him. Her heart warmed as she knelt down closer to him, and she smiled as she watched his peaceful, sleeping face. But, just as quickly as her soul had leaped, it fell; she needed to decide if she would tell him. Surely he deserved to know, but would it be worth it? It might break his heart, and one broken heart was more than enough.

Caspianhad not been asleep very long when he suddenly saw a bright light behind his closed eyelids. He squinted a little and wondered what the light was. It couldn't be morning already, as it felt he had just dozed off to sleep. Hesitantly, he opened his eyes slowly and winced against the brightness. Caspian sat up a little and realized who it was – his Lili. At first he didn't believe it was really her. Perhaps he had been dreaming of her, and in his mind the dream had come true, or something similar. But dreams usually didn't feel real to him, and this felt real. Lili was leaning over him, and she was really there. He didn't hesitate much longer before he hugged her tightly.
“Lili! I can't believe you've found me..or...I've found you....whichever comes first, it doesn't matter! I've missed you!” It had been quite some time since he'd seen his wife, so not many people would blame him for his level of excitement or exuberance. After a few minutes of hugging he released her and looked at her curiously. “I've been looking for you everywhere, and the moment I stop looking I've found you,” he said with a grin. “Have you seen our son, Lili?” He hoped that she had seen Rilian, but he didn't have his hopes set too high. If it was meant to be they would find their son, and then they'd be a family again. He assumed Rilian was in Aslan's Country, since everyone else he knew was here, unless of course, their son still lived in the other Narnia.

Liliandil was taken by surprise when Caspian suddenly hugged her, but she soon wrapped her arms around him, savoring the warmth of his body and words. They stayed like that for a few minutes, and in those minutes Liliandil's heart felt as if it might burst from joy. In those minutes, everything felt right with the world. But of course, those minutes ended, and as Caspian pulled away, she knew there would be questions. She smiled back at him, knowing but touched that he had searched for her. This smile faded when he asked about their son.
"No, Caspian, I have not seen him; I only just arrived here in New Narnia. Was he not with you...?" Her heart sank as she realized that the reason this question was asked was because he himself didn't know their son, Rilian's, location. If her son wasn't here, then could Liliandil really bring herself to tell Caspian her sin? She stood up and looked into the night sky, searching for some guidance. Oh, Aslan, what was she supposed to do? She looked down at Caspian, asking, "Oh, Caspian, how long have you been here?"

Caspian shook his head in response to her question about Rilian. “No, I haven't seen him here, but I'm hoping one day I will. Things are different in Aslan's Country...he may look different then when we last saw him...” he shrugged slightly and looked into her eyes, glad that he had finally found her. It was strange that as soon as he had stopped worrying about finding his wife, she was here before him. It almost made him think he was still sleeping and this was a dream. If it was a dream, it was a nice dream, and so he didn't try too hard to wake himself up. It felt real to him though, and he hoped it was real. “I don't know how long I've been here, Lili. Time is different...and...hard to keep track of...”
It was true, one minute he had awakened in Aslan's Country and the next he had been visiting the Pevensies at Cair Paravel, enjoying a swim in the Glisterning Ocean. He wished he could give her a more definite answer and he looked at her and wondered the same thing. “How long have you been here? Have you been searching for me as long as I have been searching for you?” he asked curiously. Perhaps she had just arrived in Aslan's Country and that is why he hadn't been able to find her at first. It would be interesting to know where she had been, and what had happened with the Green Witch. All he knew was that she was captured, and taken to her castle and was poisoned by a snake bite.
“We have much to talk about, Lili, and will you come back with me, to the castle? That is where I am going...” it was probably already assumed that she would return with him, but he didn't know for sure. He hoped she would consider, at least … it had been so long since they had talked and spent any time around each other, yet he felt as if no time had passed at all.

Liliandil nodded her head as her husband answered her; it was understandable that time might be more different here than it had been in Old Narnia. After all, this was Aslan's world, and everything was different. She looked back down at Caspian as he asked her how long she had been here, and she was glad that she could provide a definate answer: "I only just arrived; I appeared a little ways off from here." As for the second part of the question, she realized that searching hadn't crossed her mind, and that the only thing that had been of her focus was finding her bearings and deciding on truth-telling. "So, I am afraid I was not yet searching for you when I found you." However, she would definately help Caspian in the search for their son, Rilian. She hadn't seen him ever since she had died in the old world.
She smiled down at her husband's last question; how long had it been since they had last talked? Too many years had been stolen from them, and now here they were. He was right, they needed to discuss so much, and she had much to learn about what she had missed when she died.
"Of course, Caspian. I cannot think of anything else I would rather do."
