It was nearing dusk, as Aline wandered along the shores near Cair Paravel. She absolutely loved it here....it was so beautiful, and tranquil. Her cool dark eyes scanned over the Eastern Sea, as streaks of the fading sunlight colored in an a vast array of oranges, purples, and reds.
The hem of her dress dragged along the sand, and a smile tugged the corners of her mouth upwards. oh, how she wanted to walk along these shores forever....She grasped her shoes in one hand, and craned her neck slightly to see the footprints she had left behind being washed away by the waves. She wondered briefly though....if he would ever come to join her here....she wondered if he had gone through with his bethrothal to the girl that caused her watery death.
What was she doing? she needed to move on from that...yet something wouldn't let her...she could never ever forget him, and all their plans together. Closing her eyes, she pushed all other thoughts from her head, and carefully lisened to the sounds of waves against the shores, and the sweet ocean aroma that filled the air. It was quite funny....one would think that after her tragic downfall, one would be repulsed at the site of water, yet, Aline found it most tranquil. Maybe it was because she loved the reflective and glimmering surface, especially when it reflected the colors of the setting and rising sun. Or maybe it was how cool it felt against her pale skin on a hit day...Not even she herself knew for sure. Night continued to fall upon Narnia, as she smiled once more, humming a gentle tune to no one in particular. Everything else around her seemed to blur, or at least in her mind. The stars slowly began to come out, and twinkled as if saying hello to her while their reflections seemed to dance on the water. No, she knew they were. Afterall, with her heritage, the half-star was probably related to them in some way or another.
She was thankful to Aslan for allowing her into his country, always. She crossed her arms over her chest, seeing as the short sleeved gown she wore, didn't provide much cover as the cool night air took control. She was so lost in her memories and thoughts, that she didn't notice the sound of someone approaching her. With a startled look, she turned around, her hand reaching towards the dagger she kept at her side, always. [/size]
