The young prince still couldn't figure out why he wasn't just walking up to the castle gates and requesting an audience with the Kings and Queens of Cair Paravel. It wasn't as if they would deny him...would they? And even if they did it wouldn't be the end of the world...right? Rilian was still fighting with himself about approaching the imposing structure of Cair Paravel, but had at least moved from the beach back into the forest surrounding the castle. Even his horse was getting impatient with him! Although, it may have been the fact that his horse could smell the apple orchard just on the other side of the wall that Rilian was staring at from a distance. "You're being ridiculous, Rilian...just ride back onto the road, take a deep breath, and go. It's not that difficult! You would have already been inside the castle and chatting up with High King Peter, King Edmund, Queen Susan, and Queen Lucy...Unless they are not home, then you would have to wait..." Rilian muttered to himself, and would have probably smacked himself for even thinking in such a cowardly way! He was a king of Narnia as well! Well...now he considered himself just a prince, but still! He was acting like he was supposed to be some peon under the boot of some fearsome dictator, not just requesting the permission to meet the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve who were so renown for their kindness and compassion... Maybe he could try again tomorrow, and find courage then! Not that Rilian was a coward, because he was far from it. In fact, he'd be one of the first to jump into battle with some fearsome creature or an army of fearsome creatures...This, though, was a completely different kind of courage. OUTFIT: A dark blue knee length overcoat, a cream shirt under with a brown leather vest, brown pants tucked into knee high leather boots, and his sword. | 311 WORDS | NOTES: He's a bit lost in thought at the moment. :3 Oh, and I figure he wouldn't recognize Edmund until he would be told who Edmund was. Seeing as how he wouldn't have had any paintings to go by or anything like that. |
